<\/div>[vc_column_text css_animation=”fadeIn”]It is my great pleasure to welcome you all to the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University.\u00a0 When the University was established over 88 years ago, Professor Pridi Banomyong, the founder, remarked that the true purpose of the university is to be a place for the source of knowledge and for freedom of education.<\/p>\n

I am confident that we have been adhering to Professor Pridi\u2019s remark. \u00a0For being a source of knowledge, our faculty has always been equipped with lecturers who are qualified and fully equipped with the ability, experience and desire to transfer their knowledge to the students, and indeed to the public at large.\u00a0 In consequence, we have many alumni who have been doing good deeds through the application of their knowledge gained from the faculty to benefit both society and the country.\u00a0 Numerous academic, legal and social initiatives have also been routinely created in our faculty.\u00a0 I am in no doubt that the faculty will continue to be a significant place in the nation\u2019s source of knowledge and will strive to solve social problems and contribute to the country\u2019s development.<\/p>\n

Our faculty has long been and continues to be, a place of freedom of education.\u00a0 We encourage freedom of expression, both in terms of academic and individual freedom in various forms, where it is made in good faith and within the rule of law.<\/p>\n

I can assure you that the Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, will adhere to its original purposes, of being a place of a source of legal knowledge and where freedom of education can flourish in our endeavours to benefit both society and the country.[\/vc_column_text]
