In collaboration with the Centre for Asian Legal Studies (CALS), National University of Singapore, Thammasat University Faculty of Law is pleased to announce the launch of the ????-?? ???? ???????? ?????????? (??????), a student-led project aimed at fostering greater academic collaboration and knowledge exchange between the students of both faculties.
Entitled “?? ???????????? ?? ??? ?????? ?? ????????? ???????? ???”, the first workshop under this initiative will be presented as a seven-part online series, with the first session to be held on 12 March 2022.
The workshop aims to introduce students of Thammasat University Faculty of Law to the basic principles of contract law in Singapore while providing NUS Law students with a platform to consolidate their knowledge in this regard. In light of the structural differences between the civil law system of Thailand and the common law system of Singapore, participants of this workshop can expect a meaningful discussion of some of the doctrinal differences present in the contract laws of both jurisdictions, thereby fostering a deeper sense of appreciation for each jurisdiction’s approach to contract law, with the primary focus on Singapore contract law.
This course is only open to TU Law and other Thai law students (by invitation).
