A research paper is a summary of your academic work. No matter what type of research paper you’re writing, your final research paper needs to present your initial thinking backed up by the ideas and study of others. In order to draw a parallel with legal research, a lawyer studies and examines various cases and uses them as a precedent to support his case with the facts he has gathered.
Among the most important elements in a research paper is the introduction. This is your opportunity to set the stage for the rest of your paper. It starts with a bang – typically a quote from an authority, literature or source, with your thesis statement in the end. The thesis statement is essential because it tells the reader exactly what your research paper’s attention is. If the writer writes a research paper based on limited knowledge, her or his thesis announcement will outline what they have learned and what constraints they see from doing research.
The introduction is crucial because without it, nobody would ever understand that your research paper exists. The introduction presents your topic and often contains a discussion section. Even though a discussion section doesn’t need to be lengthy, it must address crucial points of the whole paper along with the section’s relevance to your research topic. But, there shouldn’t be any unnecessary wordiness in the discussion section.
The conclusion is usually the most detailed portion of all research papers. It provides your take on the topic and a summary of everything you have learned. Most decisions also incorporate recommendations, which should be kept to a bare minimum. This component is important as a fantastic conclusion will add some logic to the composing process and strengthen the arguments introduced during the entire paper.
Summary statements are commonly utilized in research papers also, especially in the introduction. A summary is supposed to give readers a brief overview of what you’ve discussed on your introduction. However, keep this section to a bare minimum, as a lot of outline can dilute the importance of what you are trying to say. Using poor grammar and confusing arguments simply doesn’t cut it, especially once you want to make a point in your newspaper. To summarize what I have said so much, make sure you present your topic, develop your thesis statement, then use persuasive arguments to support it. There is nothing wrong with having more than one of these tools.
