About the Tax Law Centre
The Tax Law Centre’s mission is to be the central point for education about tax law for courses on the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral level programmes, for research and to produce academic works relating to tax law in areas such as fiscal theory and policy, tax law and tax accounting, income tax, consumption tax, property and wealth tax, international taxation, business-related taxes, taxes related to international trade and investment, settlement of domestic and international tax disputes, as well as the relationship between tax law and other branches of law. In addition, the Tax Law Centre conducts social academic services by organising academic seminars to disseminate knowledge about tax law to the general public and organising training programmes for a short-term diploma in tax law, for those who have a need to increase their skills in tax law for use in practice.
Study Tour Project of the Tax Law Centre
- A study tour project on import and export tax at Laem Chabang Port Customs Office, Chonburi for students at master's and doctoral degree levels, tax law branch, Faculty of Law, Thammasat University, Thursday 22 – Friday 23 October 2020 for academic year 2020.
Tax Law Diploma training programme
- The Tax Law Diploma training programme is a short-term skills training program for people outside the university including lawyers, businesspeople, entrepreneurs and members of the general public who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills in taxation for use in practice. The training program was first established by the Tax Law Institute. Later, in 2019, the Tax Law Centre began to run the training program in conjunction with the Legal Training and Consulting Centre (Letec). Research of the Tax Law Centre
- In addition to teaching at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels, the Tax Law Centre also aims to be a hub for tax law research, to analyze, make recommendations and policy improvements to the tax laws of Thailand, to be suitable and consistent with the development of business, trade and investment, both domestically and internationally. Social services of the Tax Law Centre
- Academic seminar on “Land and Building Tax: Impact on Real Estate Development” organised by the Tax Law Centre, Faculty of Law, Thammasat University on Sunday 6 October 2019.
