Profile
Ronnakorn began teaching law at Thammasat University in 2008. His research interests include the philosophy of criminal law, comparative criminal law, and human rights law. In addition to his consistent scholarship in these areas, with publications in both Thai and English, Ronnakorn has served as a member of the Committee on the Prevention and Suppression of Torture and Enforced Disappearance, and as an expert on the rights of vulnerable individuals for the National Human Rights Commission. Furthermore, he has prepared four country reports on United Nations human rights instruments, namely the Convention Against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman, or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the Common Core Document. Moreover, he has served as an expert witness in criminal cases both in Thailand and internationally, including in ‘Neville, R (On the Application of) v. Secretary of State for Justice [2021] EWHC 957 (Admin)’; Thai Constitutional Court case no. 19/2566 (2023); and Thai Supreme Court case no. KorMorJor 5/2566 (2023); Maxwell Chambers (Singapore) SIAC ARB 163/13/AP (2015).
