About the French Law Studies Centre
About the French Law Studies Centre
The French Law Studies Centre was established in 1988 with the objective of being an organisation that acts as a point for coordination, promoting cooperation and academic exchange with universities in France. In previous collaborations, the Faculty of Law has received support from the French government for master’s and doctoral scholarships for the continuing development of faculty members, together with cooperation in holding academic conferences and special lectures on many occasions.
The French Law Studies Centre also runs activities to promote language and cultural skills for students, such as the French Language and Culture Project for Undergraduate Students at the Faculty of Law which has the objective of giving students who are interested in the French language the opportunity to learn and practice, to improve their skills in French. Students are divided into two groups: Group 1 is for those who have no foundational knowledge of French, and Group 2 is for those with foundational knowledge of French. Students do not have to pay to participate in the project.
